Every order. On video. Dispute-proof.
“Kenapa akaun saya tak boleh masuk?”
A Shopee seller account suspended in Malaysia is a different problem from penalty points. Points cost visibility and campaign slots. A suspension or freeze takes the shop itself: selling stops, withdrawals stop, posting on Shopee Video stops. Shopee’s own seller education article on frozen accounts is blunt about the clock. A limited account is permanently suspended 30 days after the first notification if no appeal has started, or if the appeal fails.
What a limitation actually covers
Shopee uses one phrase, account limitation, for both a banned account and a frozen one, and says it can be imposed on users who broke its terms and conditions or are suspected of doing so. A second, quieter cause sits in the same article: an account may also be limited because of penalty points. Which one you are in decides whether you can appeal at all.
Shopee says the reason is the violation committed, not the Account Health score, so a poor reading alone does not suspend an account.
Two causes, two doors in
If the limitation came from accumulated penalty points, Shopee says you cannot appeal it. The account returns to normal when the penalisation period ends, and that period is finite. A suspension from accumulating 15 penalty points lasts 28 days, extendable if more points land while it runs.
If it came from policy violations, suspected fraud or repeated severe breaches, the door is open. Shopee states that bans and freezes for fraud and severe repeated violations can last indefinitely.
So the first job is not arguing, it is finding your category. Open Account Health, then My Penalty, and read whether a punishment is listed with its own start and end date.
How you find out, and the 30 day clock
Shopee says a limitation may appear as a pop up during login, or as a notification by email or in the app. When an account is restricted you cannot sell, you cannot withdraw funds, and you cannot post content on Shopee Video. The clock is already running.
Limited accounts are permanently suspended 30 days after the initial notification if an appeal has not been started inside that window, or if the appeal attempt fails.
What to prepare before you open the appeal
- A valid photo ID: NRIC, passport, work ID or student ID
- A copy of your business licence or SSM registration, if applicable
- Proof of shipping or delivery
- Proof of product ownership, for example supplier invoices or receipts
- A description of your business model: how the shop runs, whether you sell on other platforms, how big the team is
One condition comes with the listing side. If the account was limited after repeated uploads of products with listing violations, Shopee asks sellers to remove the relevant listings before contacting support. Clear the shelf first, then appeal.
Shopee seller account suspended: how to appeal
The appeal runs through customer service. Chat with Shopee from Seller Centre on the website, or through the Shopee App. Sellers with a Relationship Manager can use that route instead. If the appeal succeeds, Shopee withdraws the suspension and restores your privileges.
Bring a timeline, not a paragraph of frustration. Have the order numbers, handover dates and tracking numbers ready for the orders involved. Support can only act on what it can check.
If points caused it, the window is earlier and shorter
Penalty points have their own appeal path inside Account Health, and it is time boxed. Points can be appealed within 14 days of the issue date. Since 20 April 2026 sellers can also appeal in advance, up to seven days before the punishment period starts.
One exception sits in Shopee’s own guidance. If a metric was spoiled because a Shopee Supported Logistics partner failed to pick up on time, the affected order can be removed from non fulfilment rate, late shipment rate or fast handover rate when the appeal succeeds.
Do not build a plan on the reset rule either. Two Shopee pages word the quarterly reset differently, one says the last Monday of March, June, September and December, another the first Monday of January, April, July and October. Read the end date printed on your own shop, and our guide to Shopee penalty points explains the tiers.
The evidence that does the work
Shopee’s document list has one item that stands out: proof of shipping or delivery. It is the only item tied to individual orders rather than to paperwork filed once, and it is also the item sellers keep in fragments, a photo here, a tracking number pasted in chat there.
The habit worth building is per order. Keep the handover date, the tracking number and a record of what went into the box, filed so that one order number brings all three back. Proof of shipment covers what to collect, and what is packing verification explains how the record is built.
That is the gap Packory fills. Scanning the AWB starts the recording, a timestamp is written into every frame, and the clip is filed under that order in your own cloud storage. Sharing the link is seller initiated, you send it yourself in WhatsApp or the platform chat when a dispute needs it. The free tier covers up to 25 verified orders a month.
Habits that keep the account clean
Shopee’s prevention list is short: keep business details up to date, follow product rules, avoid prohibited items and copied listings, and use vouchers as intended.
Add a weekly routine: read Account Health and the punishment end date every Monday, clear unread buyer chats, and note the reason behind each cancellation and return, since those numbers feed the rates. And when a return eats the margin, run the real figures through the fee and profit calculator.
